My practice is governed by the guidelines of the British Psychological Society and of the International Society of Professional Counsellors and I work according to their code of ethics.

I attend continual professional development lectures, talks and courses related to my professional practice

I have regular professional supervision which supports me in my counselling and coaching practice
to the benefit of both myself and my clients.


I have been a counsellor and psychotherapist for over twenty years with experience of providing counselling in various professional work settings
including the armed services, the NHS and in a variety of counselling agencies..

I have taught counselling psychology at university level 6  and designed a module for coaching psychology at Masters level and have also worked as a counsellor and coaching trainer. 
I am a Visiting Research Fellow at Glyndwr University and continue research into the links between personality, emotional intelligence, diurnal rhythms and occupational stress and burnout

I have worked with a wide range of clients in this country and internationally. I am a Foreign Affiliate of the American Psychological Association. I also have experience in working with ethnic communities in this country.

I am keen to ensure that counselling and coaching is available to anyone who thinks it might benefit them.
